I had to go deep, looking for your videos/channel. YT sometimes removes channels I am subscribed to.. It makes me NUTS!!!!! Anyway, I AM BACK and really happy to see this progress.. But this is a month old and you know everyone is waiting to see the next installation of the CHARGER!!!!!! Come on Dave. I know we are a PITA, but we are all Jonesing for more!!!!!!
Where’s the next update?
I look up at the sky and ask, "Where in the frig is everyone finding these things!"
Good to see the Charger again. Took a break from the channel ( for no reason ) just you tube fatigue and work. But im back. Video looks great! Sounds has enhanced. Love the new intro. Hope all is well.
Rust bucket restos can you please contact me in regards to metal work. I have some questions. Can you send me your email or contact information so I can contact you directly. Thank you
I can’t blame you it looks incredible! I would not be able to stop staring at it myself! You have every right to be proud of your work and the car! Remember B3
That’s an awesome setup with the wilwoods! Did you get a deal on this stuff from a marketing deal? And the color is B3 inside and out
What happened to the gto?
A Cuda is worth restoring,no matter how rusted it is!
Looking great Dave. I’m so glad to see the Charger getting some love. Hopefully some day soon I can do the same to mine, give it some love that is.
Looking great Dave. I’m so glad to see the Charger getting some love. Hopefully some day soon I can do the same to mine, give it some love that is.
Can’t wait till the next video hope things are going good
Soon brother! This body work takes forever!
@@rustbucketrestos6511thanks brother for the update thought you might be driving it by now jk brother
dark gray with red stripes and red interior sounds amazing, don’t see red interiors too often on restorations, seen a lot of black, seen some white, saw one person do green, but red is something we need more of
I think that is a early 68 deck lid worth keeping because it's rare. Mine is a A03 date code and has the same deck lid.
Im building a 70 and was thinking of going with the hypersonic grey metallic from the 2023 corvette, mainly because it has enough variant's in the paint to not lose the lines on the body of the car, But now I've changed my mind so you are welcome to use it for your car. lol
I would do red with black interior.
Can we get a new episode??????
Gotta give me time to work! Hope to have one out later this week.
@@rustbucketrestos6511 I understand! I just love the channel and this car lol I’m eager to see the progress. God bless !
It was nice meeting you at the Morgan car show! Already smashing the like button!
Thanks brother! 😎🤙
I would've degreed the cam with a degree wheel
Too late…
Kick ass engine. Leave it! No need for upgrades! Trust me
Wow your floor pan looks great. Our floor pan got to us after Thor jumped on it! A lot! The trans tunnel and at the back were squished sideways. Shipping company must have drove over it.
Thanks to you, you give me the confidence to do this to my 68 with my son one day. Id say a nice gunmetal grey or the midnight blue that looks blue in the sun but black far away
The car is just as cool in person! Thanks for leading the charge for ice cream at the Ogden show the other night!
Hell yeah! Your galaxy was pretty awesome too 😂🤙
@@rustbucketrestos6511 HAHA, took me a second to remember who said that!
You make a huge undertaking seem pretty causal. Love that 🤙🏼
Hell yeah brother! 😎🤙
you should never put anything between the rod and the bearing it should be dry same goes for the main caps too
Sand blasting is the worst because you can never get all the sand out of the car unless you have it on a rotisserie and be able to blow all the holes and crevices out while the car is upside down and on it's sides and even then it's a pain. Ask any car painter how much they hate blasted cars because sand seems to want to come out when priming and painting is going on and can make a mess of a paint job.
Stoked to see the progress man! I still think metallic bright orange with white a stripe would be sick af but, gray would be cool too.
Volcano Black Metallic with red interior. Had an Alfa Romeo Giulia in that color combination; it was striking.
I just found gold! love the vid!
Love the paint color & interior choices, looking good
Is it a personal preference that you sanded all the paint off the new panels? Could you have just scuffed the surface and painted over top?
This is the car that brought me to your channel some years ago. Love the color change and yes red interior would be spectacular
Right on! Thanks for watching!
I am in the middle of this exact project (minus the frame rails), it's like you custom made a tutorial for me. I wanted to let you know how helpful your videos have been. They are well made and informative thanks for filming it.
WOW !! Great job !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
I like the idea of gun metal grey with red. But please not a flashy bright red. Do a dark red that would be so neat
That would look awesome!
@@rustbucketrestos6511 I did a flashy orange metallic paint but kept the interior black. And simple. A lot of my build I did with the knowledge I got from watching you build this 68. Thank you.
Can't believe how much Tbone has grown !
He's a stud!
Definitely Red Interior...
I love it too!
I said black with red stripe and red interior weeks ago! Metallic black would look pretty cool (Cadillac color?) On my '73 Jimmy, i painted it metallic pearl green, but I made sure that I used a matching pearl white for the cove (I wanted the flake to match). Call TAMCO Paint to see if they can match the black and red together. I'm thinking Tamco's Interbalactic with Blood Diamond stripe.
That would be awesome!
So you’re not going with the green I suggested??!!!!!😂 Blessings!
Unfortunately not!
personally not a big fan of red interiors, but who am I to tell you what to do with your build after you put this much time and effort into it! Really enjoyed this episode and I look forward to seeing it finished, whatever color combination you end up choosing
Thanks for watching!
What happened to the inflatable spray booth?
I still have it. We'll use it when it comes time for painting.
Great content....yeah the paint color will go great with the stripe and interior color....looking forward to seeing more....thanks🔧🔧👍
Thanks 👍
Amazing work!! PLEASE go with the Red interior!!!
I think it would look cool too!
Big step in this restoration. I always love when I get the project to epoxy primer and everything is one color again. You know... there is a channel doing a similar thing - and you both have such high standards but it seems you approach stuff a little differently. So... if you haven't checked out Foothill Fabrications, you might want to take a look. You both have smallish channels so far... when you should each be over 100K subscribers with the quality of the work you do. Maybe you guys could do a little co-promotion or collaborating? You appeal to the same type of subscriber, but I bet that right now there isn't a lot of crossover yet... and there should be. Anyway... thanks for sharing this project with us. Nice to see such huge progress in one upload!!
I'll check them out, thanks!
That will be a awesome color! Maybe burnt orange seats and carpets with black dash
I think a saddle/tan would also look pretty good!
Red interior has been done on the power nation charger! Go with a buck skin color
Oooo I like that!
No bad intentions but it’s not a old school muscle 💪 car colour 🤦🏼sorry but removing the rear side lights is doing away with what made these cars have all these great looks and bring so long I’d leave them as it definitely destroys the great looks of these chargers . Everyone wants the space age look . But down the line they realise they lost the way Ma MOPAR built these legends .
Lol I’m removing the 69 side markers and drilling the hole for 68s! These were all that AMD had at the time.
Can’t wait to see it painted
You & me both!
Awsome looking my friend, cannot wait to see her painter
You and me both!
I'm 100% on board with gunmetal gray with the red stripe! A red interior will go great with that exterior color. No matter what you decide, it's gonna look awesome!
I agree!
